Jsb, now part of Cooper Lighting & Security, has responded to the constantly growing demand for its products by continuous expansion of its facilities and large-scale investment in sophisticated manufacturing and design equipment. Today JSB maintains its position by offering one of the most comprehensive ranges of efficient and reliable lighting, fire detection and security systems available. By backing up its own product range with a technical and proto-typing service the company is able to produce special-purpose equipment to meet the most stringent of customer requirements.

Much of the pioneering work done by ICEL has been used to formulate the British and International Standards, BS 4533.102.22 and IEC 598.2.22. Similarly with fire detection there is the product standard BS 5839 Part 4,1988 and a new European Standard EN54 Parts 2 and 4, as well as a systems code of practice BS 5839 Part 1, 1988.

Jsb has in operation a Quality Assurance programme which satisfies the strict requirements of BS EN ISO 9001 and is registered on the Department of Trade and Industry's Quality Assurance register as a firm of Assessed Capability.
